Myself, with neice Marie, took Aunty Ada to Fremantle to view the Welcome Walls where back in 2010 the third stage were unveiled at the wharf on the 11th December and Aunty Ada had gone to the unveiling. At that time I was living in Wynnum in Queensland. Now back in Western Australia in Kelmscott, we went to the walls to see the names of these special people: Henry Lockey, Aunty Ada's father and my grandfather, Margaret H Lockey Aunty Dad's Mum and my grandmother, and M.E. (Margaret Elizabeth), their daughter, Aunty Ada's eldest sister and my mother.  My sister Lorraine, called Liz, came down to meet us there as she lived nearby in Spearwood. It was a wonderful moment seeing this link of our ancestors that started off the family in Western Australia. Granddad arrived on the Jervis Bay in 1923 and he sponsored Nanna and my tiny Mum, who was two and a half,  out in 1924. They arrived on the Barramine

Just dig this...

I found a group of four negatives and when placed against the light, could see they were of a vehicle. but Whose? Why did I have these amongst all my history stuff? Were they important? I queried my guys. They knew nothing about them. So I took them to Kodak to be developed just to see what they are. And these were the results. So now they wont download!! Oh! then they did. The plot thickens for no one knows this vehicle! I will keep updating...

Understanding blogging

I have a lot to learn but am willing to give things a go. I like putting interesting articles, stuff about my Church, what's in the news lately and things and people that I care about, on my blog. Perhaps all these should be put in pages, but I know not how to do that. So back to the blogging lessons....

Imported blogs

Guess what! I made it!
