Disasters are rearing their heads again with quakes north of Japan, tornadoes in America's midwest and a typhoon south of Texas. Am I prepared for such disasters coming my way? I have done my best with food storage, 72 hour kit, some water. Are you prepared wherever you are in the world? Many are advocating this state of preparedeness who are not members of our Church. We of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been admonished for many years by our Prophets to have home storage, 72 hour kits and other things organised to prepare ourselves, our families and our homes against natural disasters, and possibly man-made disasters also.
This was taken from an article by Dutchinse, reporting on the typhoon Debbie near Texas:
Have a severe weather plan ready just in case you ever come across a severe weather outbreak in your particular area. shelter, food, water, communications, transportation, survival supplies (the basics)… all are needed for several scenarios.. whether it is severe weather, earthquakes, civil unrest, power outages etc..
Don’t be scared.. be prepared !
