The Iliad by Homer




This was a fabulous edition of Homer's great epic. I loved Homer's descriptive way of writing, discussing where each section of people had come from, likening some of them to various weather conditions or nature, and introducing us to those Gods so abhorred by those of the biblical era. it was really great to discover that Troy really existed, but I was mystified that there was no mention of a trojan horse. Modern day licence perhaps?
