Bob Hawke

HawkeHawke by Blanche D'alpuget

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This biography covers a period of time that was both rewarding and painful and much of it had to do with Hawke's policymaking and charisma. He was the only Prime Minister (I think) that could tell the population of Australia to tighten its belts and help bring down our giant deficit and the Australian population did. I respect him for that reason, gutsy fellow
